This book is about the holocaust and a girl who is living during it. This girls mother has to get her kids out of her house, neighborhood, and anywhere where anyone can find them. She finds a family to take care of her two kids, but on the way something terrible happens. when they get there they find the family to be very nice. But as they soon find out were they are now isn't safe either. The war is getting bad and hitler is gaining power and soldiers. She finds herself to be hailing hitler even though she has no desire to. This book is called the book thief because this girl loves to read anything she can get her hands on.
